The title "Unter Tage" (= underground like in coal mining) relates to the underground location of the Philharmonie, to the relationship between musicians and conductor and to the un(der)- conscious perception of the audience. As unusual as the sound-event is the empty stage at the beginning: 17 musicians sit distributed amoung the audience, 2 trombone-players walk around and behind the conductor mimes the dancer Ralf Harster a bizarre orchestra-stage- assistent |
